Fertility Reflexology

Reproflexology

Reproflexology or Fertility Reflexology focuses on both women and men who are trying to conceive.

Following training in Reproflexology with Barbara Scott of Seren Natural Fertility, I am now able to use specific and prescriptive protocols depending upon where you are in your cycle to stimulate, sedate and balance the reproductive system.

How can Reproflexology help?

Sometimes life does not go according to plan and we may need help with getting pregnant and this can be a very stressful time.

Many couples experience problems when trying to conceive which can cause stress and anxiety. Stress has a huge impact on fertility, it can disrupt hormones and make trying for a baby more difficult.  Approximately 1/3 of all fertility problems experienced are due to male fertility factors, a 1/3 from female fertility factors and the remaining 1/3 will be a mixture of issues with both the man and woman.

It is therefore important for both men and women to be at their best both physically and mentally when trying to conceive. Stressful lives, a poor diet, long working hours and pressure can all affect our ability to conceive. When it is taking longer than expected for you to fall pregnant, emotions may be running high. Only half of all healthy couples under the age of 35 fall pregnant within 6 months. Fertility reflexology can help enhance the chances of conceiving naturally by calming, de-stressing and relaxing the body, along with regulating the menstrual cycle.

Fertility reflexology often helps in regulating the length of the menstrual cycle, altering the menstrual flow, providing pain relief and even bringing back periods which have been absent for some time. The key is that reflexology brings balance to the body so your body takes what it needs from the therapy helping to regulate the cycle and increase the chances of conception.

Various conditions such as Polycystic Ovaries (PCOS), Endometriosis, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) or fibroids can benefit greatly from reflexology as it can help stimulate and stabilise the hormonal system whilst encouraging a normal menstrual cycle.

Reflexology and assisted Fertility Treatments

Reflexology is a safe complementary therapy which can also be used alongside and in preparation for assisted fertility treatments such as IVF, IUI ICSI and medicated cycles.

How often will I need a treatment?

I recommend a minimum of 6 treatments for women, to see results in your cycle and boost your chance to conceive naturally.  Ideally, I would like to treat weekly for the first 4 treatments, so that I can work with the different times in your cycle. We would then review your situation and reduce treatments. For men I would recommend a minimum of 8 treatments, as this is the length of time it takes healthier sperm to appear. (I completely understand if financially this is not possible, these are just recommendations so please get in contact if you’d like to discuss this more).

A consultation form will be emailed over to you to complete before your initial consultation. The first appointment will last for an hour and a half, which gives us time to have a detailed consultation taking into consideration any medical diagnosis, your emotional and physical wellbeing, stress levels and any other factors that have a bearing on fertility.  This will be followed by a reflexology treatment.
